San Francisco Inquiry Group

  • Willie Brown Middle School 2055 Silver Avenue San Francisco, CA, 94124 United States (map)

This school year's BTP SF Inquiry Group re-launches on January 17th! **Please note that attendance at the Fall 2018 SF Inquiry Group is an eligibility requirement to participate** If you were unable to participate in the SF Inquiry Group during the fall, we encourage you to participate in the Oakland Inquiry Group that launches on January 30th.

BTP Inquiry Groups provide time for Black teachers to come together, offer support and create sustainability with each other. Through the use of equity-based protocols and culturally relevant practices, participants will explore issues in their teaching practice with support from a racial affinity-based professional learning community.

At each meeting, participants will work on defining a problem in their practice and using protocols and thought partnership from other Black teachers to address those challenges. These meetings are for Black teachers to come together, provide support, and create sustainability with each other. Stipends will be provided to teachers who attend at least 4 meetings a semester. Please note: This is intended to be an all-Black educator affinity space.
